To pay your bills online, you simply add the companies and people
you want to pay. You can pay virtually anyone in the United States that
you would normally pay by check or automatic debit. Even if you don't
receive bills from the company or person you want to pay, you can still
add the information we use to send payments.
When you add a company to pay, you may be able to add an electronic
version of your bill, which is also called an e-bill. An electronic
bill typically contains the same information as the printed bill that
is mailed to you, but you receive your electronic bills through Web
Bill Pay. Some billers can also send you an electronic bill through
e-mail.
After you add the company or person you want to pay, you'll see the
information listed in the Pay Bills section of the Payment Center. The
company or person remains in your list of bills until you delete the
biller. When you pay your bills, you simply find the bill you want to
pay and enter the amount and date for the payment.
Note: Remember to keep
your bill information updated. If the name, address, or account number
changes, go to the Manage My Bills page and make the appropriate
updates to ensure that the billing information is accurate.
Selecting a Method for Adding a Company or Person to Pay
Web Bill Pay provides two methods for adding the company or person you want to pay:
Quick Add—You simply enter
the phone number of the company or person you want to pay, and we
search our records to find the name and address information. We can
match companies and people to several different phone numbers in our
records.
Custom Add—You enter the
name, address, and phone number of the company or person you want to
pay. The information you need to enter varies based on whether you want
to pay a company or a person and whether you have an account number
with a company.

Searching for the Name and Address Information
If you enter a phone number for the company or person you want to
pay, we can search our records to find the name and billing address.
Many companies and people have multiple phone numbers, and we can match
several different phone numbers to a single company or person.
If the phone number you enter matches a company or person in our
records, we display information for you to confirm before you add the
company or person to your list of bills. If a match isn't found, you
can enter a different phone number, or you can enter the name and
address information to add the company or person to your list of bills.
To search for the name and address:
Select one of the following options on the Quick Add a Company or Person to Pay page:
Company with an account number
Company without an account number
Person
In Phone Number, type the phone number of the company or person you want to pay.
If you are adding a company with an account number, type the number in Account Number and then retype it in Confirm Account Number.
Click Find.
The results appear on the Quick Add Confirmation page.
Confirming the Search Results
The Quick Add Confirmation page shows the name of any company or
person that matches the phone number you entered. If we find several
companies or people in our records that match the number, we display a
list for you to choose from.
This page also shows the address for each person who matches the
phone number. However, the address may not appear for a company if we
have already established a relationship with the particular company.
If the confirmation page shows a different company or person than the one you want to add, you have two options:
Select Enter a different phone number to return to the Quick Add a Company or Person to Pay page and start another search.
Select Add additional information to enter the name and address information of the company or person you want to pay.
To confirm the search results:
Review the information on the Quick Add Confirmation page.
If the phone number matches several companies or people, select the one you want to add from the list.
Click Add.
The Company Added or Person Added page opens. You can select your next step from this page.
Entering the Name and Address Information
If you selected a Custom Add option, or if the search did not find
the company or person you want to add, you can enter the name, address,
and phone number information. We use this information to send payments
for your bills and to contact the company or person on your behalf if
there is a problem with your payment.
Tip: If you have a recent
bill, statement, or invoice from the company or person you want to pay,
use it to find the name, address, and phone number information.
To enter the name and address information for a company:
In Biller Name, type the name of the company you want to pay.
If you are adding a company with an account number, type the number exactly as it appears on your bill in Account Number and retype it in Confirm Account Number. Note: If you selected the
Quick Add option, the account numbers you typed on the Quick Add a
Company or Person to Pay page appear in these boxes.

You can go to the Payment Center to pay your bills.
If you added a company that can send electronic bills, you have the
option to add an electronic version of your bill. You'll receive an
electronic version of your bill in Web Bill Pay within one or two
